Project: Blue Racoon – Decentralized Exchange (DEX) on Ethereum Objective: Provide a seamless UX for users engaging in staking and liquidity pools, with powerful analytics and an intuitive interface. By simplifying DeFi interactions, Blue Racoon aims to make decentralized finance accessible to both newcomers and experienced traders.
- UX Research & Strategy: Planned user interviews and surveys to uncover common DeFi challenges. - Interaction Design: Developed wireframes and prototypes to streamline staking flows, liquidity pool management, and analytics dashboards. - Usability Testing: Collaborated with developers and QA to validate the DEX’s core features, iterating based on feedback.
1️⃣ Complex Onboarding for DeFi - New users often struggle with wallet connections, gas fees, and understanding DeFi terminology. 2️⃣ Navigating Staking & Liquidity Pools - Users need clear, step-by-step guidance to avoid confusion when locking tokens or withdrawing rewards. 3️⃣ Analytics & Market Data Overload - While experienced traders crave in-depth data, newcomers can be overwhelmed by charts and DeFi metrics. 4️⃣ Security & Trust - Many hesitate to trust smart contracts or handle private keys on their own without clear safety indications.
- User Interviews: Talked to 10 users (5 DeFi novices, 5 experienced traders) to understand their biggest pain points in DeFi. - Surveys: Distributed a short questionnaire to gather insights on desired features (analytics, staking automations, etc.). - Prototype Testing: Conducted moderated sessions where participants attempted to stake tokens and add liquidity. - Feedback Analysis: Used Miro boards to categorize user quotes, highlight confusion points, and note desired improvements.
